Sullivan's Crossing, Season 1

Neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan’s perfectly planned life is turned upside down after her business partner is indicted for fraud and she finds herself being sued by the mother of one of her patients. Needing some time to think, she decides to temporarily leave her life and career in Boston, along with her boyfriend, Andrew, to take refuge at her former childhood home of Sullivan’s Crossing, the picturesque Nova Scotia campground run by her estranged father, Sully Sullivan. But Maggie hasn’t been home to see her father since the summer she turned 15, and things have been strained between them ever since. That, and Maggie has never been able to forgive Sully for not wanting to be part of her life after her parents’ divorce. Maggie finds herself back in Sullivan’s Crossing trying to reconnect with old friends as she attempts to navigate her complicated present as well as deal with her painful past. But Maggie isn’t the only one struggling. Her homecoming has disrupted the status quo, leaving a once content Sully to deal with memories and feelings he has long chosen to ignore—feelings of guilt and shame that now threaten his long-term sobriety. When Maggie runs into Cal Jones, the mysterious stranger who has been helping her father out at the campground’s store, the two initially hit it off like oil and vinegar. But after Cal assists Maggie during several local medical emergencies, Maggie is surprised by her growing feelings for him. Unfortunately, that only serves to complicate Maggie’s life even further and she finds herself torn between her well-planned life in Boston and her developing feelings for both Cal and her potential new life in Sullivan’s Crossing.
